Sylvie's New Friend

Chloe decided to share her baby doll with Sylvie, and Sylvie decided to chew on her new friend. "Baby" doesn't seem to mind...she's pretty laid back. Good thing, because Sylvie's a ruthless chewer.

A Fun Couple of Days!

We have had a FUN couple of days! Sunday, Chloe's friend Eve had a birthday party, and the girls had a blast dressing up and running around! It was also a good warmup for Chloe's first day at "preschool" on Monday. She's going to start going to daycare/preschool on Monday and Tuesday mornings, just for a little socialization, and for me to have a chance to get some things done around the house. Both mornings she cried for a few minutes, but was fine after I left (I stuck around and peeked in on her).

Today I went to Wal-Mart after I dropped Chloe off, and while I was inside the weather got NASTY! It's something like 20 below zero, with 40 mph winds and blowing snow. Can you imagine being homeless in this weather?

Here are some fun pics from the party...Chloe loved the purple lip gloss! Can you tell?

Feeling Better Today

Feeling better today! Thank goodness. I hate being sick. I just don't have the patience for it.

Chad just left for work, and I'm upstairs with Sylvie. Chloe is supposed to be napping, but I can hear her on the monitor, talking to her dolls and mice. She doesn't have your classic imaginary friend, she has imaginary mice. They go with us in the car, and sometimes we forget one; a situation that requires quick thinking and a (fingers crossed) promise that I saw both mice jump into the back seat when we loaded up. I'm pretty sure there are only two, but I've never gotten a definitive answer from Chloe...no names, either. I guess they're sort of private mice, and I'm not in the secret circle.

Tonight Chloe has dance class, and I'm hoping they don't cancel for the weather. She just started two weeks ago, and since last Thursday was cancelled, she's only had one class. The first time she did pretty well...no crying, but no participation, either. Hopefully tonight will be more of a success, since my friend Dawn is bringing her daughter, Natalie. Here are some pics from Chloe's first time:

My First Post!

Hah! I finally got the blog up and running! I'm a natural procrastinator, and until I have time to do something right, I just don't do it. Ahhh...feels good to get that out in the open. I wonder if there's a program for people like me. Something like AA, but PA. Probably not yet.

Anyway, I've been wanting to create a blog as sort of an extension of our CaringBridge site. Because the CB site is supposed to be for medical information/updates, I don't feel right using it to share much more about our lives other than Sylvie's IS stuff. With this blog, I can write whatever I want (oh, no!) and upload a lot more photos...that alone is going to be worth the extra typing! (:

I'm getting ready to go to bed, so I'll wrap this up. I think I may be getting the flu...ack.
